Reading Lolita in Tehran was an AMAZING book IMHO
I loved "Reading Lolita in Tehran" also, as well as "The Time Travlers Wife" which was simply brilliant.
I would add "Life After Death" by Deepak Chopra to the list. I know it's kind of a trendy book, but it has some merit. I've just finished reading it and he really offers a fair thesis for the reader to consider.
I'll echo "Reading Lolita". Also "Falling Leaves" will leave you breathless.
Add "Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini to your list if you haven't read it.

I have just finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. What an amazing read and insight into the process of dying.
I laughed at People of Sparks! Liked the People of Ember better but, oh yes!
